One killed in clash over gravel mining

One youth was killed and three others were injured in a clash between two groups over gravel mining in Patan area in the district, police said.

Station House Officer Hemraj Singh said the clash took place in Dayal ki Nangal village when a group objected to the other mining gravel illegally following which both groups clashed and fired in the air.

Rakesh (27) died after sustaining injuries in the clash. Three others were also injured of which two were referred to Jaipur for treatment, the SHO said.

No case has been registered in connection with the case by either of the groups and no arrest has been made so far.
 

The body has been sent for postmortem, he said, adding police are investigating the matter.
