Opposition leader calls WB state budget directionless

Opposition leader in West Bengal Assembly today described the state budget as "directionless" and alleged that there was no financial provision for projects proposed by Finance minister Amit Mitra.
Suryakanta Mishra of CPI(M) told reporters that raising the VAT rate would lead to price rise of all commodities and the finance minister made no serious effort to lift the state from the economic morass.
