Ovarian cyst removed from woman

An ovarian cyst, weighing five kg, was removed from a 40-year-old woman at the government hospital here, Hospital officials said today.

The woman, wife of a labourer, was suffering from stomach pain for the last six months and was admitted to the hospital two days ago, Dr.Pragalathan, superintendent, said.

Doctors detected the cyst and a team removed it successfully. The cyst has been sent to the Madurai Government Hospital for further tests, he said.
