Over 1 quintal cannabis seized in UP, 3 arrested

Three persons were today arrested and over 1 quintal of cannabis was seized following a raid at a house in Mitthauli village here, the police said.

Acting on a tip-off, police raided the house of a milkseller and and nabbed the three persons. The owner of the house, however managed to escape, SP (rural) Aditya Kumar Shukla said.

Over one quintal of cannabis, Rs 30,000 cash and one motorcycle was seized from the house, the police officer said.

Of the three arrested accused, one is from Hathras district, while the rest are from Mathura, the SP said, adding a hunt is on to nab the owner of the house.
