Over 2,500 students of Kendriya Vidyalayas from 25 regions across the country have gathered here for the 47th KVS National Games and Sports Meet.
Subhash Chandra Khuntia, Secretary, Department of School Education and Literacy in the Central government, in his address, encouraged the student to play while maintaining solidarity and integrity of the sportsmen spirit.
A total number of approximately 2,503 players from across the country with their teacher escorts, officials from Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan headquarters and regional offices witnessed the grand opening of 47th KVS National Sports Meet Boys and Girls 2016 on Monday at the Thyagaraj Stadium, a statement said.
