Pakistani Rangers today fired along the International Border (IB) in Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir, in an apparent bid to scare away a leopard on their side, even as BSF troops retaliated.
Pakistani Rangers fired a few rounds along IB in a Samba sector area early this morning, a BSF officer said.
BSF troops also fired back, the officer said, adding that the troops saw a leopard later which could have been a reason for the Pak rangers to open fire.
No one was injured in the firing, he said.
