Lawyers protesting in front of Pakistan's Supreme Court clashed with police today and broke into the court building.
The lawyers were demanding the setting up of high courts in five cities of Punjab, including Faisalabad, Gujranwala, and Dera Ghazi Khan.
Police used tear gas and carried out a baton-charge to stop the protesters from entering the complex. Footage on television showed lawyers carrying banners and pushing against the gate.
