Panic after "time-bomb" like object found at commercial

Panic gripped the city after a "time bomb" like object was found on the terrace of a commercial complex here, police said.

"The object found at Mega Mart resembled a time bomb. No explosives were found by a bomb squad which arrived from Varanasi," said SP

Arvind Singh, adding it seems a handiwork of mischievous elements.

After the object was sighted, the complex was vacated and sealed, he said, adding the entire operation lasted more than three hours.

A case has been lodged against unidentified persons at the Gopiganj police station, he said.
