Parrikar congratulates Indian team for winning U-19 World Cup

Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar today congratulated the Indian cricket team for winning the ICC U-19 World Cup in New Zealand.

Parrikar tweeted a congratulatory message soon after the team defeated Australia in the World Cup final.

"Congratulations to the young team India for a dominating performance throughout the tournament and winning the U19 Cricket World Cup," he tweeted.

India lifted a record fourth U-19 World Cup trophy after an eight-wicket rout of Australia in the summit clash at Mount Maunganui.

Riding on a magnificent unbeaten century by Manjot Kalra, India comfortably chased down the winning target of 217 losing just two wickets in 38.5 overs.
