Pb govt observes state mourning over demise of Karunanidhi

The Punjab government today observed one-day state mourning following the death of DMK leader M Karunanidhi.

An official spokesman said no celebratory function at government level was held today throughout the state and the national flag was flown half-mast at the headquarters.

Karunanidhi died last evening at the age of 94 after prolonged illness.
