Underlying the importance of peace and brotherhood, Jammu and Kashmir minister Raman Bhalla today said peace and communal harmony were vital key to prosperity of the region.
Inaugurating the three-day Shiv Khori Mela in Reasi district today, the Minister for Housing, Horticulture and Culture said, "Peace and communal harmony are vital key to prosperity of the region."
The mela is being jointly organised by the State Tourism Department, Shiv Khori Shrine Board (SKSB) and the Reasi district administration.

Wishing the people on the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivratri, Bhalla said the Shiv Khori Shrine "is bestowed with serenity and one could experience the spiritual manifestation at the sanctum".
"There has been enormous surge in the number of pilgrims. It is touching 22 lakh," the minister said, expressing hopes that the yatra would touch new heights in future and emerge as one of the famous pilgrim destinations.
The minister appreciated the district administration's efforts in making arrangements for security, drinking water, power supply and medical facilities at the venue.
