Peas weaken on adequate supply

Peas prices fell by Rs 25 per quintal in an otherwise steady wholesale pulses market today following adequate supplies from producing belts against subdued demand.

Traders said subdued demand against adequate stocks position mainly kept pressure on prices of peas.

In the national capital, peas white and green were down by Rs 25 each to Rs 2,675-2,700 and Rs 2,750-2,850 per quintal, respectively.

Following are today's pulses rates (in Rs per quintal):

Urad 6,000-6,450, Urad Chilka (local) 7,000-7,200, Urad best 7,200-7,800, Dhoya 7,600-8,000, Moong 7,000-7,700, Dal Moong Chilka local 7,800-8,300, Moong Dhoya local 7,800-8,100 and best quality 8,600-8,700.

Masoor small 5,450-5,700, bold 5,500-5,750, Dal Masoor local 6,400-6,500, best quality 6,500-6,600, Malka local 7,100-7,400, best 7,300-7,400, Moth 5,300-5,600, Arhar 5,800- 5,850, Dal Arhar Dara 7,200-7,500.
 

Gram 3,550-4,350, Gram Dal (local) 4,000-4,200, best quality 4,100-4,400, Besan (35 kg) Shakti bhog 1,660, Rajdhani 1,660, Rajmah Chitra 4,000-5,600, Kabli Gram small 4,100-6,400, dabra 2,700-2,800, imported 4,700-5,100, Lobia 4,800-5,200, Peas white 2,675-2,700 and green 2,750-2,850.
