Pedestrian shot at in Santacruz

A 38-year-old pedestrian was today shot at in suburban Vakola in Santacruz, police said.

Accused Jalal Khan fired four rounds at Ramchandra Paul (38), following which he was rushed to nearby KEM hospital, police said.

However, it is not yet clear how many bullets hit the victim, they said.

Khan was detained and his interrogation is underway, they said, adding that the motive behind the attack is being ascertained.
