Penna Cement Industries Ltd today donated Rs one crore to the Lord Venkateswara temple at Tirumala here with a request to use the fund for Anna Prasadam Trust (Pilgrim Free Meal Trust) run by the temple.
P Pratap Reddy, CMD of Penna Cement, handed over a DD for the amount to K S Srinivasa Raju, TTD Joint Executive Officer, temple sources told PTI
Meanwhile, Prakash Chowdary, a devotee from Kolkata donated an air conditioned vehicle to the temple for transportation of shrines publications, they said, adding the devotee had earlier donated two buses, two ambulances and some battery cars.
