The Madras High Court today issued notice to three police officers and directed them to reply within two weeks on a criminal original petition filed by industrialist M A M Ramasamy not to interfere with the probe on his complaint against his adopted son and those who recently attacked his security personnel.
The notice was issued to the Inspector, Foreshore Estate Police station, the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Mylapore Range and the Deputy Commissioner of Police.
Ramasamy in his petition alleged that even after transferring almost 90 per cent of his assets to his erstwhile adopted son M A M R Muthiah, he was insisting on doing so for other assets.

He also sought a direction to the Inspector to probe the case and file a final report.
Ramasamy said since his adopted son has lost his credibility among the public and relatives, aggrieved by the cancellation of his adoption, had developed animosity against him and started troubling him in all possible ways, including lodging a false police complaint against him and his workers.
He said some persons had tried to lock one of the rooms of his house and two of them --Lalithkumar Deyolal and Azhagu - had threatened to kill him, following which he gave a complaint to police.
Ramasamy said an FIR was also registered against his disowned adopted son and others but there was no progress in the investigation.
Despite repeated requests no action has been taken on his complaints and hence sought a direction to the Inspector of Police to file a final report on the matter.
On June 5, Muthiah, Managing Director of Chettinad Cement and group head, had said he was ready to resolve differences with Ramaswamy.
His offer had come days after an episode at Chettinad House when 14 alleged henchmen of an assistant of Ramaswamy were arrested for locking a room of Muthiah.
On June 9, Ramaswamy had declared his decision to disown M A M R Muthiah. He had said that he had written and registered a will that all assets which may be left at the time of his death would go only to the newly-formed trusts - Dr M A M Ramaswamy Chettiar of Chettinad Charitable Trust and Dr M A M Ramaswamy Chettiar Trust.
The 84-year-old philanthropist and former Rajya Sabha MP stated that the assets would not go to M A M R Muthiah or anyone claiming on his behalf or under him.
He had also said that Muthiah would not perform any ceremonies or obsequies on his death.
The family feud in the Group, that has business interests across various verticals like cements, hospitality, education, came to the fore after Ramaswamy was not elected as a Director in the AGM of Chettinad Cement Corporation, the group's flagship company, last year.
