Petrol bombs were hurled at the house of former Tamil Nadu minister T M Selvaganapathy at Salem today but no one was injured, police said.

A car and a two-wheeler parked in the portico were damaged in the attack, they said.

Selvaganapathy, also a former DMK MP, who rushed from Chennai, said in a statement he was engaged in enrolling members in the DMK and this could be the handiwork of those against him.

He will not be cowed down by these type of attacks and he will continue to work for the party with additional vigour, Selvaganapathy said.
