Drug maker Pfizer today posted a 43.43 per cent rise in its net profit at Rs 53.83 crore for the first quarter ended June.
The company had posted profit of Rs 37.53 crore a year earlier.
Net sales rose to Rs 479.20 crore for the said quarter compared with Rs 431.03 crore in the year-ago quarter, Pfizer said in a filing to BSE.

The company said there had been a temporary impact on production at the Goa plant due to conciliation issues between the workers union and the management.
The company has already taken alternative manufacturing initiatives, it added.
