"Piku" to release on May 8

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan-starrer comedy-drama film "Piku", which has been directed by Shoojit Sircar, will release this May 8.

The film also stars Deepika Padukone and Irrfan Khan. Bachchan, 72, took to Twitter to share the release date.

"'PIKU ' the film... Deepika, Irrfan, AB with Shoojit Sarkar director... Confirmed release May 8 by Adi Chopra YRF and Sony," the actor tweeted.

Distributed by YashRaj films, the film deals with the relationship between father and daughter, played by Bachchan and Padukone respectively.
