PM welcomes participants of T20 World Cup for blind

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today welcomed and extended best wishes to all the teams participating in the T20 World Cup for the blind being hosted by India and said it will popularise cricket among the visually-handicapped.

"A warm welcome & best wishes to all the teams & supporting staff who have come to participate in the T20 World Cup for the Blind 2017," he tweeted.

"The T20 World Cup will showcase quality sporting talent among the players & will popularise cricket among blind persons," the Prime Minister added.

10 teams are participating in the tournament which started today. Matches will be held in a number of cities across the country. The final will be held on February 12.
