The anti-corruption team of Zunheboto Town Youth Organisation (ZTYO) in Nagaland has alleged malpractices in distribution of forms for the Prime Minister's Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) by the District Industries and Commerce (DIC) in Zunheboto district.

On receiving several complaints, the ZTYO had constituted a team to look into the matter, a press release issued by the organisation's media cell stated here today.

The team found that out of 200 application forms allotted to the Zunheboto district, only 151 were issued and the remaining were allegedly taken by the VIPs, ministers and MLAs, the release said.

Despite that the forms were for free distribution, the ZYTO pointed out the forms were sold at Rs 200 at the DIC Zunheboto and even for Rs 1,500 outside the office.

The organisation has urged the authorities, including the Directorate of Industries and Commerce and District Industries and Commerce (DIC) Zunheboto to cancel the 200 forms and re-issue new ones, and also warned of further agitation against the malpractices.
