With the arrest of three persons, Mumbai police today claimed to have cracked the case where a cheque-book of actress Raveena Tandon's husband Anil Thadani was stolen and Rs 12.50 lakh were transferred from his account.

The property cell of the Mumbai Crime branch arrested Omprakash Phatak, Vishwambhar Mishra and Radhemohan Chaube, and recovered 27 bogus PAN cards, 14 driving licences, 11 voter cards, 57 ATM cards, seven cheques, passports, nine rubber stamps, 37 bank passbooks and 19 mobile phones from them.

According to police, on July 20 Phatak, who worked for Thadani, gave the cheque book to Mishra. Mishra gave two cheques to a person, Sanjay Singh, who is yet to be arrested.

Mishra, Chaube and Singh forged Thadani's signature on the cheque and deposited it in a bogus account in the name of S G Trading.

Thadani approached D B Marg police station after noticing this transaction.

So far, the Crime Branch has arrested six persons, while six others are wanted.
