The city police today registered a case of murder in connection with the death of Telangana Praja Front (TPF) president Akula Bhoomaiah in an apparent road mishap at Vidyanagar crossroads here.
Following a complaint by TPF activists, who in their petition to the Nallakunta Police suspected a foul play, a case under section 302 of the Indian Penal Code was registered, a police officer said.
Bhoomaiah (62) died when the vehicle he was riding in was hit by a lorry last night.
