The Orissa High Court today issued notices to three more MLAs, asking them to file counters within three weeks in response to petitions challenging their election to the state Assembly held in April this year.

With this, the number of MLAs, whose election has now come under the scanner of the High Court, has increased to nine.

A single-judge bench of Justice B K Nayak asked the Khandapada MLA Anubhav Patnaik, Sundargarh MLA Jogesh Kumar Singh and Raghunathpally MLA Subrat Tarai to file their counters within three weeks in time for next hearing on August 14.
