The Delhi government today decided to extend the benefit of the ongoing 'Bijli Bill Samadhan Scheme' to tube well connections as well.
The move comes after a group of people, including some MLAs, demanded that tube well connections be included under the 'Bijli Bill Vivad Samadhan Scheme'.
"In view of the larger public interest, the government has, in a special case, decided to extend the scope of the 'Bijli Bill Samadhan Scheme' to tube well connections in line with the ongoing scheme for JJ clusters," said a senior official.
