G Nagendra Prabhu, Associate Professor in Zoology at the University of Kerala and Dr Usha S Heranjal, Anu eye hospital, Valsad, Gujarat, have been selected for this years Basti Vaman Shenoy Vishwa Konkani Seva awards.
The two have been selected for awards in the mens and womens category respectively.
The award has been instituted by the city-based World Konkani Centre and the Konkani Language and Cultural Foundation.
The award, sponsored by Vishwa Konkani Kendra chief patron and Manipal Global Education chairman T V Mohandas Pai, carries a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh each and citation.
The awards would be presented at a ceremony to be held here on November 20, a release here said.
