Four women, including a pregnant one, were killed when the latter was being taken to a hospital, in Manor near here, police said today.
The incident occurred yesterday when three ladies were taking a pregnant woman for medical care and the driver of their vehicle rammed the vehicle into a stationary truck parked on Varai-Safala road, killing all four on the spot, police said.
The deceased were identified as Bharti Patil(38), Bhanumati Labad (65) Kajal Chimda (21) and Yamuna Dhode (75), all belonging to Navze village.
A case was been registered and bodies have been sent for postmortem, they said, adding investigations are underway.
