Members from Uttar Pradesh in Lok Sabha today complained about the problems being faced by them due to the model code of conduct enforced in the state due to some legislative council elections.
Raising the issue during the Zero Hour, Jagadambika Pal (Cong) said the implementation of the code was creating problems for members to reach out to the people when Parliamentary elections are not far away.
He was supported by several members from the state following which minister Farooq Abdullah assured them that the government would take up the matter with the Election Commission.
