About 2000 DMK volunteers today held a demonstration to protest against the milk price hikein this city and melur 30 km from here.
Those addressed the demonstration said milk price had been increased for the second time after the AIADMK government took over and the recent hike was too steep and poor children would not be able to drink milk.
They demanded the withdrawal of the price hike.
The Tamil Nadu government had hiked the prices of milk by Rs 10 per litre effective from November one.
