Punjab ASI dies of cardiac arrest, on duty

A 48-year-old Assistant Sub Inspector of Punjab Police, died of cardiac attack while on duty.

ASI Kewal Krishan, posted at Dhar Kalan area, complained of chest pain while on duty last evening and was shifted to a civil hospital here, police said.

He died during treatment, they said.

The body was handed over to the deceased's relatives after post mortem, police said, adding the mortal remains of the officer were consigned to flames with full state honour.
