Punjab Cong to launch campaign against SAD-BJP alliance

The Congress unit of Punjab has announced a series of protests in different parts of the state to highlight the alleged "failures" of the SAD-BJP government.

The first protest of the campaign against the state government will be held at Ropar, state Congress chief Partap Singh Bajwa said during Holla Mohalla festival yesterday.

The detailed programme of the entire campaign would be announced soon, he said.

Bajwa asked the party workers to be prepared for the Panchayat polls scheduled in May and 2014 Lok Sabha elections.

"There is no rule of law, human rights and liberty of common man is curtailed," he said.
