Punjab MLA Sikki summoned by Speaker

Congress MLA Ramanjeet Singh Sikki who had resigned over an incident of alleged desecration of a holy book in his constituency has been summoned by Punjab Speaker Charanjit Singh Atwal on November 17.

Disclosing this here today, a spokesman of the Punjab Assembly said Sikki's resignation was received in the Assembly Secretariat on October 21.

"Hurt" over the desecration of a holy book in his constituency of Khadoor Sahib, Sikki had resigned on October 18.
