Punjab: Rs 40,000 looted from bank at gun point

Two masked men today entered the branch of a public sector bank here and allegedly looted Rs 40,000 from the cashier on gunpoint.
Police said a case had been registered in this connection and further investigations are on.
Robbers struck at the branch of Punjab and Sindh Bank in Vheela Baju area this evening, Assistant Manager Metab Singh said.
They escaped from the spot after bolting the main gate of the branch, he added.
