Punjabi folk singer dies

65-year-old Gill passed away yesterday, family sources said.

Condoling his death, Punjab Chief Minister Prakash Singh Badal said that he had regaled the hearts of millions of Punjabi music lovers with his melodious voice.

"Gill's death has created a void in the arena of Punjabi folk music, which would be difficult to fill in the near future," Badal said.
