A railway employee was killed after being hit by the speeding Sampark Kranti Express train near Parasnath railway station in Giridih district today, Railway Police Force officials said here.
Agitated railway employees blockaded both the up and down lines which disrupted train services for around four hours, they said.
The blockade was called off after senior railway officials reached the spot and assured proper investigation into the incident and providing job to a member of the deceased's family as well as monetary compensation, sources said.
