Rains today lashed many places in Punjab and a few parts of neighbouring Haryana for the second consecutive day.
Chandigarh, the common capital of the two states, too, was hit by showers, a MeT official said.
In Punjab, Patiala, Ropar, Ludhiana, Faridkot, Hoshiarpur, Amritsar, Bathinda and Mohali were among the places to receive rains while Ambala, Yamunanagar, Panchkula and Hisar in Haryana, too, received showers.
Both the states saw heavy rainfall a few days back that caused damage to crops.
