People in Rajasthan got respite from heat today with rains lashing several parts of the state.
Light to moderate rains occurred at many places since yesterday in Kota division, at a few places in Jaipur and at isolated areas in Bharatpur, Ajmer, Udaipur and Bikaner divisions.
Heavy rainfall also occurred at isolated places in Baran and Kota district, according to a Met report here.
Chhabra in Baran district recorded 12 mm rainfall till morning today since yesterday.
Mandana and Bundi recorded 9 and 5 mm rainfall respectively, whereas Churu, Kota, Ajmer, Pilani and Jaipur recorded 21.8, 16.8, 5, 4.1 and 1.7 mm rains till evening since morning today.
Rains brought down the day temperature.
Churu was the hottest today with maximum temperature of 42.2 degrees.
A forecast said, many places in south-east parts of the state are likely to receive rains during next 24 hours.
