Recruitment of 314 junior engineers, repairing of Indira Gandhi canal, efforts to increase water inflow to Pushkar lake in Ajmer are among the slew of promises made today by the Rajasthan government in the state Assembly.
Water Resources Minister Sanwarlal Jat also assured the House that the government would make all efforts to ensure that the state gets its share of water from rivers as per the inter-state arrangements with other states.
However, Opposition Congress boycotted the debate and the minister's reply.
