Over a week after two persons were gunned down in busy Rajender Nagar area here, police claimed to have cracked the case with the arrest of two men from Uttar Pradesh.
Lalaram (55) and Pawan (24), both residents of Rajender Nagar, were arrested from Allahabad. Lalaram had allegedly hatched the conspiracy to avenge the death of his son.
On May 14, two persons, Ramcharan and Lakhan Lal, were gunned down at Shankar Road in New Rajender Nagar.

A case was registered and several teams were formed to nab the accused. Raids were conducted at the possible hideouts in Delhi and NCR and on the basis of technical surveillance and secret information, the accused were finally apprehended by the Central District police team from Allahabad (UP).
On questioning, Lalaram said that his elder son Udai had died while coming back from a birthday party on December 26 last year organised in the house of the deceased Ramcharan.
"In the party, Udai had some arguments with deceased Ramcharan, Lakhan Lal and others after which Udai had left the birthday party. On the way, Udai died in an accident and a case was registered at Inder Puri police station in this regard," a senior police official said.
Lalaram and Pawan held the duo responsible for the death of Udai and had hatched a conspiracy to kill them.
"Further probe in the matter is on," he said.
