Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Rajyavardhan Rathore today expressed hope that the long-pending demand for giving Constitutional recognition to Rajasthani language would be fulfilled soon.
Speaking to reporters here, the minister said Constitutional recognition to Rajasthani language is a very emotional issue for the people of Rajasthan and added that it will have a positive effect on employment and culture.
"In a way the identity of Rajasthanis would get a boost," he said, adding that the demand for the recognition of Rajasthani language has been there since Independence.

Rathore, who represents Jaipur (rural) Lok Sabha constituency, said he has spoken to Home Minister Rajnath Singh and BJP President Amit Shah in this regard.
Rajasthan Chief Minster Vasundhara Raje is also fully backing the demand, he added.
"I have faith that the time is coming when the Rajasthani language will get recognition," Rathore said, though he did not specify a time-frame.
