Deputy Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha, Ravi Shankar Prasad is going to Nepal tomorrow for a short visit during which he will address the Indo-Nepal Cooperation Council and meet President Ram Baran Yadav and leaders of various parties in Kathmandu.
Prasad will address the Indo-Nepal Cooperation Council during his visit and highlight the close ties between the two countries that go back a long way.
He was briefed by Foreign Secretary Sujatha Singh today on the present status of the relationship between the two countries and the current bilateral issues.

The BJP leader will also meet Nepal President Ram Baran Yadav during his visit.
Meetings with leaders of various political parties is also on Prasad's agenda. This includes an interaction with Unified Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal, leaders of Nepali Congress, Madheshi parties and others.
Prasad had led a six member delegation to Sri Lanka in June this year to study the post-war situation there and the condition of Tamilians in the island nation.
