A day after the Maharashtra government suspended the no-confidence motion against the Commissioner of Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation, Tukaram Mundhe, the Shiv Sena urged Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to reconsider the decision.
"Devendra Fadnavis should reconsider the decision," Shiv Sena spokesperson Arvind Sawant told reporters here when asked about the issue.
"Sentiments of elected representatives should be honoured," said Sawant, a MP from Mumbai South constituency.

Yesterday, throwing his weight behind Mundhe, Fadnavis had suspended the no-confidence motion passed by the NCP-ruled body against the IAS officer popular among the public for his firm stand against illegal constructions.
The motion, passed 105 to 6 on October 25, was sent to the Urban Development department headed by Fadnavis.
While BJP corporators had opposed the motion, its ally in the Maharashtra government Shiv Sena had joined hands with NCP and Congress and supported it.
The development was also viewed as a snub to Sena which had voted against the officer.
