Reengus and Sikar railway stations of the North Western Railway zone in Rajasthan will be developed as model stations while three new lines will be laid in next fiscal, a senior offical said today.
The three new lines included in Union budget 2017-18 include Neemuch-Badi Sadri (48 km), Taranga Hill-Abu Road via Ambaji (89.38 km) and Jind-Hansi (45 km).
The three lines would laid at the cost of Rs 3070.48 crore.

"Major electrification works have been included in the Budget 2017. Seven railway routes will be electrified at the cost of Rs 830.15 crore," North Western Railways general manager, Anil Singhal told media persons here today.
Gauge conversion of Marwar-Mavli (152 km) and Himmatnagar -Khedbrahma (54.83 km) is also proposed in the budget, he added.
