Supported by pick-up in domestic demand and tight supplies from producing belts, refined soya oil prices were up 27 per cent to Rs 573.90 per 10 kg in futures trade today.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in October month was trading Rs 1.55, or 0.27 per cent higher at Rs 573.90 per 10 kg with an open interest of 85,705 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in November contracts edged up by Rs 1.20, or 0.21 per cent to Rs 572.60 per 10 kg in 38,580 lots.

Market analysts said besides pick up in demand in the spot market, restricted supplies from producing regions mainly led to rise in refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
