Refined soya oil prices fell further by 0.78 per cent to Rs 682.50 per 10 kg in futures trade today as speculators engaged in reducing positions amid easing demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in November fell by Rs 5.35, or 0.78 per cent, to Rs 682.50 per 10 kg with an open interest of 12,800 lots.
Likewise, the oil for delivery in December weakened by 70 paise, or 0.10 per cent, to Rs 702.50 per 10 kg in 52,090 lots.
Market analysts said, offloading of positions by participants owing to sluggish demand in the physical market against ample stocks position on increased supplies from producing belts, mainly kept refined soya oil prices lower at futures trade.
