Refined soya oil prices were up by 0.23 per cent to Rs 661.90 per 10 kg in futures trade today as participants enlarged positions, driven by pick up in demand in the spot market.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in April month moved up by Rs 1.55, or 0.23 per cent, to Rs 661.90 per 10 kg with an open interest of 47,820 lots.
Likewise, the oil for delivery in March contracts traded higher by 90 paise, or 0.13 per cent, to Rs 669.20 per 10 kg in 38,070 lots.
Analysts said widening of positions by traders on the back of pick up in demand in the spot market against restricted supplies from producing belts mainly led to rise in refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
