Refined soya oil up 0.4% on spot demand

Oil for delivery in October traded higher by 0.31%

Press Trust of India New Delhi
Refined soya oil prices went up by 0.38% to Rs 583.85 per 10 kg in futures trade today as speculators enlarged positions, taking positive cues from spot market on firm demand.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in November rose by Rs 2.20, or 0.38% to Rs 583.85 per 10 kg with an open interest of 1,17,600 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in October traded higher by Rs 1.80, or 0.31% to Rs 590.60 per 10 kg in 19,620 lots.

Analysts said apart from firming trend at spot market on strong demand in view of festive season, limited arrivals from producing regions led to the rise in refined soya oil prices in futures trade.
