Refined soya oil prices were higher by 0.87 per cent to Rs 785.75 per 10 kg in futures market today as speculators created fresh bets, taking positive cues from spot market on upsurge in demand.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in April rose by Rs 6.75, or 0.87 per cent to Rs 785.75 per 10 kg with an open interest of 59,410 lots.
In a similar fashion, the oil for delivery in May was trading higher by Rs 6.20, or 0.79 per cent to Rs 793.05 per 10 kg in 31,330 lots.
Analysts said fresh positions built up by traders due to pick up in demand in the physical market against tight stocks position on fall in supplies from producing belts influenced refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
