Relatives of bride, groom clash at marriage over dowry

At least 18 people were injured in a clash between the relatives of the bride and groom during a marriage ceremony over demand for a motorcyle in dowry in Sherani Nagaria village here, police said.

The incident took place yesterday. The groom and his family members had asked for a motorcyle in dowry. The relatives of the bride objected to it. A heated argument ensued and grew into a clash, police.

Eighteen people were injured in the clash.

The issue was mutually resolved later, police said.
