The resolution passed by Delhi Government against the Lt Governor is "unconstitutional" and motivated by "ill-will" against the representative of the Centre, Opposition leader Vijender Gupta said today.

"This act of (Arvind) Kejriwal government is unconstitutional and motivated by ill-will against the representative of the Centre," Gupta said.

"It disrespects and devalues the highest office in Delhi Government. It has never happened in the history of Delhi Government," the BJP MLA said.

The resolution and setting up of Group of Ministers by the Delhi Government is "bad" in law as a Chief Minister cannot pass a resolution of this nature against the Lt Governor who is the representative of the Centre in the capital, he said.

Kejriwal government has not only "flouted" Constitutional provisions and Government Rules but has also "failed" to uphold moral values, transparency, and honour hierarchy in the government, he added.
