Revenue officer caught accepting bribe

A Revenue Officer was arrested today for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 1,500 in Kota district, Anti-Corruption Bureau officials said here.

Jitendra Rawal, posted in Pipalda, had demanded a bribe of Rs 10,000 from one Ghanshyam Sen for some official work, IG ACB VK Singh said.

"Rawal had already taken Rs 4,500 from Sen and pressurised him to pay the remaining amount," Singh said.

After the verification of complaint, a trap was laid and Rawal was caught accepting Rs 1500, he added.
